The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. John Kumah has assured the District Business Councils (DBCs) of his outfit’s readiness to support them in decentralizing the Government’s entrepreneurship agenda of supporting small businesses and start-ups.
Mr. John Kumah made this remark during the launch of the District Business Councils at Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region by the Private Enterprise Federation.
The event was chaired by Mampong Nkosuohene Nana Agyei Duku, and Asante Mamponghene, Nana Dr Daasebre Osei-Bonsu as the special guest of honour.
Speaking at the event, NEIP CEO, Mr. John Kumah explained that businesses and start-ups irrespective of their locations in Ghana, must be given the needed incentives to thrive if they show viability.
“We need to decentralize entrepreneurship. Every Ghanaian business, no matter where the idea is birthed, must be watered to grow. As for NEIP, we are ready to support your business no matter how big or small, hence we look forward to working with the Council to rake in more support for businesses and start-ups” he said.
The District Business Councils of the Private Enterprise Federation have been set up to provide business advisory services and support to Small and Medium Enterprises in various districts.
