PRESIDENTIAL PITCH
The Presidential Pitch for Young Entrepreneurs is a deliberate, systematic, and integrated policy initiative by the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country. The business competition, a revolution in the history of Ghana for young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40 serves as an incubating platform for existing businesses and capital funding from the government.
The initiative seeks to turn creative businesses by the Ghanaian youth into global business giants with the support of the government. The criteria for selection are feasibility, innovation, scalability, and potential impact of the business.
NEIP will be calling for applications from eligible youth with an entrepreneurial spirit to apply for a grant to enable them to scale up their business annually
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Requirement: Participants must be between 18 and 40 years old at the time of the competition.
- Nationality: The competition is open to individuals who are citizens.
- Youth Participation: The competition aims to encourage the country’s youth, so only individuals within the specified age range are eligible to participate.
- Business Focus: Participants must present innovative businesses that have the potential to be developed into feasible, scalable, employable, and impactful businesses.
- Originality: Businesses submitted must be the original work of the participants and should not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
- Feasibility: The proposed businesses should demonstrate the practicality and potential to be implemented as viable business ventures.
- Scalability: Participants should present businesses that have the potential to grow and expand beyond a small-scale operation, demonstrating scalability and long-term viability.
- Employability: Businesses should have the potential to generate employment opportunities, contributing to job creation and economic growth.
- Impactfulness: The businesses should address social, economic, or environmental challenges and positively impact society or specific communities.
- Submission Requirements: Participants must adhere to the submission guidelines outlined, including providing necessary documentation, forms, or presentations as specified.
